Ticketmaster Launches Ignite In-Venue App in the UK

KEY TAKEAWAYS
Ticketmaster launches Ignite Venue Apps in the UK, expanding beyond ticketing into the full live event experience lifecycle.
The platform is live at Utilita Arena Sheffield, with Vaillant Live Derby launching soon, both operated by Legends Global.
Ignite integrates ticketing, entry, and in-venue services into one app, enabling improved fan experiences and deeper venue insights.
Ticketmaster today announces the UK launch of Ignite Venue Apps, a new platform designed to power the full end-to-end live event experience for venues and fans, from ticket purchase and entry through to in-venue engagement.
The platform is now live at Utilita Arena Sheffield, with Vaillant Live Derby set to launch in the coming weeks. Both venues are operated by Legends Global.
For fans, Ignite Venue Apps brings together ticketing, entry and in-venue services into a single, fully integrated app experience. Fans can purchase and access tickets, navigate the venue, receive real-time updates, and use features such as in-app messaging, upgrades and food ordering, all within one platform.
For venues, the platform removes the need to build and maintain standalone apps, while providing enhanced data insights into attendance and in-venue fan behaviour. This enables operators to better understand how events perform beyond ticket sales and optimise both operations and fan experience.
For Ticketmaster, the launch represents a continued expansion beyond ticketing into the full event lifecycle, enabling deeper insight into how fans engage before, during and after live events.
The UK rollout follows successful deployments of Ignite in international markets including Australia, South Africa and the United States, with partners such as D.C. United and DHL Stormers Rugby. Additional UK and European venues are expected to be announced later this year.
Sarah Slater, Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK, said: “Ticketing has long moved on from being a single transaction – it’s now a continuous cycle, from understanding demand before a show is announced through to how fans engage on the day and beyond. Ignite connects that journey. Venues can now see who attended, how they experienced the event and what they engaged with – so they can make better decisions that will improve the fan experience.”
Catrin White, SVP Marketing at Legends Global Europe said: “In live entertainment, the fan experience is paramount in everything that we do, and that experience starts from the moment a ticket is purchased. Teaming up with Ticketmaster’s Ignite will further enhance the fan’s experience, making it more seamless than ever. By harnessing Ignite, we now have a single, integrated platform that simplifies operations and improves reliability at scale.”
Dom Stokes, General Manager at Utilita Arena Sheffield, said: “Managing entry, security and fan communications across multiple systems can create unnecessary complexity on event days. Now that we’re bringing on board The Ignite Venue App, we have a single, integrated platform that simplifies operations and improves reliability at scale. Utilita Arena Sheffield is a venue which proudly serves the city, and we are delighted to introduce fans to this new solution.”
Marcus Sheehan, General Manager at Vaillant Live Derby: “As a newer venue, we’ve been able to innovate on our offering and operations from day one. The Ignite Venue App enables exactly that, delivering a fully integrated digital journey without the overheads of building and maintaining our own app. The result is we can deliver a modern, seamless experience for audiences in Derby from the outset.”
