  • First-of-Its-Kind Partnership Will Award The Voice Champion a Main Stage Performance at The Governors Ball Music Festival 2027

Live Nation Studios and The Governors Ball Music Festival today announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with NBC’s Emmy Award-winning competition series The Voice that will award the winner of the show’s milestone 30th season a coveted performance slot on the Governors Ball 2027 main stage.

The groundbreaking collaboration gives one emerging artist the opportunity to perform in front of tens of thousands of music fans at one of North America’s premier music festivals, providing an unparalleled platform to launch the next chapter of their career.

The partnership was spearheaded by Ryan Kroft, Michael Rapino and Pat Lambert for Live Nation Studios, Tom Russell for The Governors Ball, Merrill Hendrickson for NBC and Audrey Morrissey for The Voice.

“Live Nation Studios helps artists tell their stories from beginning to end,” said Ryan Kroft, Head of Film & Television, Live Nation Studios. “Partnering with The Voice and The Governors Ball creates a meaningful opportunity for an emerging artist to take the first step in telling their story through a live performance in front of a global audience.”

“The Governors Ball has always been about celebrating both established stars and the next generation of artists,” said Tom Russell, Festival Director, C3 Presents and The Governors Ball co-founder. “Partnering with Live Nation Studios and The Voice allows us to give a remarkable new talent the opportunity to perform on one of music’s biggest, most diverse stages and connect directly with fans in a live festival environment.”

“At its core, ‘The Voice’ has always been about shining a light on undiscovered talent, giving rising artists a platform to showcase their vocal prowess and develop their stage presence,” added Audrey Morrissey, executive producer and showrunner of NBC’s The Voice. “Joining forces with Live Nation Studios and Governors Ball allows us a unique opportunity to take this exposure to the next level for our Voice champion.”

The Voice remains one of television’s most successful music competition franchises, discovering and developing some of the industry’s most promising new artists. The upcoming 30th season will feature coaches Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green and Queen Latifah.

This past weekend, The Governors Ball celebrated its 16th year as New York City’s flagship music festival by achieving its strongest sales in the festival’s history to date. Held annually at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the festival attracts fans from around the world for a weekend of performances spanning pop, rock, hip-hop, electronic and emerging artists. The Governors Ball brings some of the biggest names in music to the stage annually, but is committed to discovering and supporting emerging talent, with artists at every stage of their careers sharing the bill.

The Voice returns to NBC this fall, with the Season 30 winner earning a place among the artists performing at The Governors Ball 2027.
